• We had a wonderful afternoon tea today. Claire gave us a tour of the building her enthusiasm and obvious wonderful sympathetic renovation of this building is outstanding. The day spa and accommodation was both surprising and incredible tempting. I can not wait to try it out and to experience it for myself.

  • The Old Post Office Harleston is a historic building in Harleston which has been beautifully refurbished by Claire. We were fortunate to be given a guided tour of the house. Claire is very knowledgeable and gave a very interesting and entertaining talk about the house and its contents as she showed us around. We then had our afternoon tea which consisted of finger sandwiches, sausage roll and cheese straws, scone and clotted cream with jam and two slices of cake all served with lots of tea. We had a lovely afternoon and would recommend a visit for couples or groups. Claire is a great hostess, the Old Post Office is a wonderful addition to Harleston.

  • Had a wonderful weekend here for my 40th with hubby. From start to finish Claire was brilliant with her communication and had a huge passion to give us the best experience. She went out of her way to make my birthday special and provided a wonderful relaxing stay. The massage, spa, Lebanese mezze, breakfast and afternoon tea were all wonderful. Really have no complaints at all. Thank you Claire for a birthday weekend to remember.

  • Spent a wonderful enjoyable day with my sister and my daughter . A fabulous surprise in Harleston ! An exquisitely renovated Georgian house , Claire the owner had an amazing eye for detail and was extremely knowledgeable about the history of the house . She treated us to an insightful tour on arrival. We had a wonderful SPA complete with mud treatment and copious amount of tea and water . Followed by a brilliant massage by attentive staff . Nothing was rushed . We had a lovely lunch in the lounge with a roaring fire . We got a chance to chat to Claire a very enterprising and interesting lady . She was so warm and welcoming and made you feel so at home . We were in no rush to leave . A truly enjoyable day made special by all the attentive staff and owner . Would highly recommend.

  • What a fantastic find. Lovely break with my wife - Claire and her staff were lovely, so helpful from start to finish.
We stayed in the Gerney Room which has lush! Really comfy bed, and little things like having speakers in the ceiling so you can play your own music was a Brucey Bonus!
Loved the Spa…. Such a great way to chillax and you feel so refreshed afterwards.
Claire was so helpful throughout. The perfect hostess. She is so passionate about the area and the Old Post Office is clearly been renovated to match her passion and eye for detail.
Great value for money - we will be back for sure. THANK YOU X

  • Amazing breakfasts, a stunning restoration & beautiful buildings surrounding The Old Post Office. I shouldn’t really be telling you about this magical place as we might never be able to get a booking again. We truly loved this little town & the hospitality that we received.

  • We are a family of four from London and had an amazing 3 night stay at The Old Post Office. Claire and her lovely family could not have gone more out of their way to make us feel welcome. Claire has done an outstanding job in breathing life into this historic building which oodles character, decadence and charm. We stayed in the Waveney Room with its king size quadruple bunk beds which was ideal for our family. We especially enjoyed the complementary afternoon tea and the family hammam which Claire arranged for us and was just what was needed after a long day out cycling. Harleston is a pretty market town with lots of options for dining out and is ideally located for family days out in Norfolk and Suffolk. We spent a day kayaking and paddle boarding in the serene and pretty Norfolk broads which was a 20 minute drive away. We visited the historic village of Framlingham and it's castle and spent a couple of afternoons watching the boys body boarding on the beaches of Alderburgh and Lowestoft. We also spent a whole day mountain biking the trails of Thetford Forest which the boys really enjoyed and was less than an hours drive away. All in all we had a fantastic time at The Old Post Office and can't wait to visit again!

  • We had a lovely stay with Claire at The Old Post Office. It’s such a unique and beautiful building and a very relaxing place. Claire is an excellent host and the packages she has organised for guests are so good. We did the chauffeured local vineyard tour which was interesting, entertaining and educational with lots of samples to try! Before leaving for the tour Claire had prepared a beautiful brunch for us and she also prepared cheeses and charcuterie for us when we returned. The hammam spa is just wonderful and Claire provided the towels, the rhassoul clay, moroccan tea and the best dates and we were transported back to Morocco. We followed this with a couple’s massage to complete our relaxation afternoon. The whole experience was amazing! Thank you Claire. We look forward to staying again soon.

  • The house is stunning throughout and Harleston is a beautiful town with lots to offer.
Claire was a fantastic host who looked after us so well and helped create a memorable weekend. She even helped us decorate the house for our hen! Our belly dancing class and Mezze feast at the house were both great add ons and great value for money. Would highly recommend a stay at the old post office!

  • Somewhere very special to stay. My friend and I spent three blissful days and very comfortable nights at The Old Post Office. The property itself has been beautifully renovated by Claire - she has even turned the original bank vault into an hammam spa! Every room tells a story and combined with beautiful food, outstanding hospitality. The Old Post Office is truly unique. Claire and her wonderful team truly pull out every stop to make your stay truly luxurious - a wonderful discovery in a beautiful part of the country.

  • Just wow. Stayed for the weekend for a Hen Do - this place is simply stunning from top to bottom & Claire is the loveliest host. Nothing was too much trouble from answering the any questions we threw at her before our stay to helping to organise the best activities and most delicious food throughout our stay - she even made us cups of tea for our midnight snacks! Cannot wait to visit again and try out the beautiful Spa. Thankyou again Claire!

  • I loved my amazing stay at The Old Post Office, the Hammam Spa and massage and the fabulous afternoon tea! It was wonderful and an experience of a life time, I can't wait to do it again. I want to congratulate the owner Claire on making my visit beyond the ordinary. Wow, wow, I can't wait to enjoy this amazing experience again and to share it with everyone. It is beyond the ordinary. 5 star rating for me and I can't wait to do this all again.

  • From the moment I arrived, until the moment I left, Claire could not have made me feel more welcome! What an amazing, kind, genuine & generous lady! The Old Post Office is just wonderful! It is one of the loveliest houses I have ever stayed in. Immaculately & beautifully restored by Claire, she has put so much love & care into this place. The rooms will delight you! Charming & elegant! Claire arranged for me to use the Hammam spa in the house... I had it all to myself... it was fab. This was followed by a calming & relaxing massage treatment. I travelled by myself and there is plenty to do & see in the area. I loved wandering around Harleston town, lots of lovely places to eat and shops to browse in. Bungay and Beccles are both but a few miles away, easily accessible by bus and they are both beautiful little towns, well worth visiting. I travelled to Southwold by bus, for my seaside fix & had some of the best fish & chips I’ve ever had there! Claire also arranged for me to go on a tour of Flint Vineyard. When I went it was a beautiful sunny day, just perfect for the scrummy lunch we had in the garden & for the sampling the excellent wines that they produce there. Claire honestly could not do enough for me during my stay. She went out of her way to assist me and I loved chatting to her and she has some wonderful stories to tell! The Old Post Office is just perfect for a relaxing break. Claire’s hospitality & the beautiful house will leave you feeling very happy and pampered and I will definitely be returning.

  • Are you looking for a great place to hang out? Well look no further than the Old Post Office, a beautifully restored Grade II property in a historic town in Norfolk.

What a beautiful, luxurious, stunning, amazing, huge yet cosy period property. I stayed at this beautiful property and was spoilt for choice. Why? There were so many rooms with exquisite themes to choose from with ensuite bathroom...all tastefully done ...wait for it...there's a luxurious Hammam spa where you can relax with your favourite drink and listen to a song of your choice and a galleried library where you can browse through historical books of your choice.

I had a great time and if you are looking for a get-away, this is the perfect place to stay.

    Get booking ya'll.

  • This place is INCREDIBLE!! We absolutely loved our stay at The Old Post Office. The house is stunning - sophisticatedly decorated with lots of great modern touches to keep the whole family happy. The afternoon tea was delicious and the house is conveniently located in the centre of the market town which makes it easy to explore the area, pop to the shops and also have a drink or two at the local pub!

I love the attention to detail, from the William Morris wallpaper and antiques, to the integrated speakers throughout the house. But most of all the hammam is spectacular, located in the old vaults and in the centre of the house - it really is something special. I couldn’t have asked for a better stay and came back feeling relaxed, refreshed and ready to plan my next visit! Thanks again for a fantastic stay!
